अर्जुन
उवाच

“Arjuna Spoke
-“

स्थितप्रज्ञस्यकाभाषासमाधिस्तस्य केशव|

स्थितधीकिंप्रभाषेतकिमासीतव्रजेतकिं|| BG2.54

“Sthitaprajnasya
ka bhasha samadhistasya keshava|

Sthitadhih kim
prabhasheta kimaaseeta vrajeeta kim||” BG2.54

“How does a
sthitaprajna who has reached the state of deep contempation behave (in
society)? What can possibly motivate one with steady judgement (who has reached
the bliss of samadhi) to talk, sit or go about (in society)”

प्रजहाति यदा कामान्
सर्वान् पार्थ
मनोगतान्|

आत्मन्येवात्मनातुष्टस्थितप्रज्ञस्तदोच्यते|| BG2.55

“Prajahaati
yadaa kaamaan sarvaan partha manogataan|

Atmanyevaatmana
tushtah sthitaprajnastadochyate||”

“When one casts
away all the (limiting) desires that reside as part of the mind, blissful in
the contemplation of the Divine by its grace, then shall one become one of
steady undertsanding”

“कर्मजंबुद्धियुक्त
हि
फलंत्यक्त्वा मनीषिणः|

जन्मबन्धविनिर्मुक्ताःपदंगच्चत्यनामयं||”

“Karmajam
buddhiyukta hi phalam tyaktva manishinah|

Janmabandha
vinirmuktaah padam gacchantyanaamayam||” BG2.51

“Wisdom seekers
tossing (disinterested and without expectation) the fruits of actions, freed
from the fretters of birth reach blemishless state”

“यदा ते मोहकलिलंबुद्धिर्व्यतितरिष्यति|

तदा गन्तासि निर्वेदं श्रोतव्यस्य श्रुतस्य च||”

“Yadaa te
mohakalilam buddhir vyatitarishyati |

Tadaa ganthasi
nirvedam shrotavyasya shrutasya cha||” BG.52

“When your
understanding crosses the filth of confusion, then you will accrue the full
benefits of what has already been heard and what is yet to be heard”

“श्रुतिविप्रतिपन्ना ते यदा स्थास्यति निश्चल|

समाधावचला बुद्धिस्तदा योगमवाप्स्यसि||”

“Shruti
vippratipanna te yada sthasyasi nishchala|

Samaadaavachala
buddhistada yogamavaapsasi||”

“When your
understanding that was conflicting with Shrutis stands firm (in deep agreement
with it now) then you shall be able hold it steady in deep contemplation, thus
shall you attain the benefits of Yoga (skills that lead to wisdom)”
